OUTLASTING MOTHS

Once the Bones of Man
There is nothing new
today. Even the rooster
has mounted this sunrise
before. Uninspired
he crows. Dust
he stirs and scratches,
once the bones of men.
Floats down, again.
Weary of the short
and certain flight. Its
mysteries corrupted.
